Sminko have been in good cahoots with chocolate maker Buttercocoa and have dedicated a page to selling the most gorgeous and delicious white chocolate on the planet! Buttercocoa is an artisan brand chocolate and came about because of a major white chocolate addiction. Finding there were no decent flavours of white chocolate around, Debbie decided to experiment with melting various white chocolate brands, learning the art of tempering it and adding new flavours to see what was a hit with her family and friends.
Settling on melting the best brand in New Zealand - Whittakers White Chocolate, lots of different white chocolate flavours were born, with the first being custard. Anyone who dared try this custard chocolate was then under its spell and simply could not put the bar down until it was all gone revealing the best white chocolate in NZ
Many flavours later and an astonishing 7kg weight gain (all worth it) Buttercocoa was born. Debbie experiments with many flavours and you really need to taste these bars to believe how good they are. Passionfruit has gorgeous tangy real passionfruit in it and cuts thru the sweetness to add that lovely passionfruit sourness. Cardamom, strange as it sounds oddly works well and keeps you biting every bit until the bar is gone.
And if the chocolate isn't the best thing, check out the beautiful moulds that the chocolate comes in. Debbie was sick of boring grid style break apart bars and who the hell wants to share it! So going back to antique Germany found these stunning Anton Reiche chocolate moulds. Vintage replicas made in polycarbonate featuring postcard pictures of vintage settings alot of them being bunnies! It was heaven. Look at the gorgeous picture done in fine chocolate, Bite the whole bar yourself and feel the happiness all over you.
